Constructing Instruments
Azerbaijani instruments are most commonly made from local woods such as walnut and mulberry. Strings are made of different metals, often steel or bronze. While most wind instruments are made using reeds, some are made of bone, animal horn, clay, and various other materials. To create percussion instruments, leather is crafted from goatskin, calfskin camel skin, or sturgeon skin.
