Eurovision
In 2011 two Azerbaijanis won Eurovision, an annual competition between the active members of the European Broadcasting Union. The competition, broadcast every year since 1956, is one of the most popular non-sporting events in the world. Having been voted champion of Eurovision, Azerbaijan hosted the competition in Baku in 2012.
